Can't find cervix- help?

I have an IUD and want to check the strings but can't find them or my cervix. I've tried squatting and pushing as far in as I can physically get and there's just nothing.

What am I doing wrong?

Do you have any idea where in your cycle you are?

DinosaurDiana · 26/04/2021 21:56

It might be to either side

AngstyMom · 26/04/2021 21:56

I don't think I have a cycle. Periods haven't returned post partum yet.

Have a couple of tries over this week then, if you still can’t find it, I think it would be reasonable to book in with your practice nurse or whoever put it in.

Have you tried when sitting on the toilet? I can always feel mine this way. You might be feeling too far up, a cervix can be quite low down at times. Sweep from left to right, going gradually higher. Feel around all the lumps and bumps as the threads can wrap themselves behind things.
