Stopped pill after 11 years

I took my last Cerazette on Good Friday after 11 years of period free life. I was warned my blood pressure was a bit high when I went for my last repeat prescription check, am taking a lot more care of myself (diet, exercise etc) since having Covid last year and just want to see what a difference not being on the pill would make to my general health and mood.

I’m 40 and not desperately trying to get pregnant but if I did it wouldn’t be the end of the world for us. Think it’s unlikely though due to previous conditions/surgery.

Thing is, I kind of expected I would have some kind of bleed by now, but I havent had anything! I can’t even particularly remember what my periods used to be like so I’m now a bit worried about heaviness and pain. I’m a teacher and had hoped to get the first one out of the way over the Easter break.

How long might it take for things to return to ‘normal’? Am I going to have a horrendous time while my body gets revenge for 11 years of chemicals?
