Has anyone swapped cerazette for mirena?

I’m on cerazette and booked in to have a mirena coil instead. Normally my periods last around 6 days, but since taking the pill they’re about 2 weeks long! I’m currently on day 17 of my period and so fed up. Also I’ve put on weight and it’s proving hard to shift. Was wondering if anyone came off cerazette and got a mirena coil instead and lost weight...🤞🏼

I was on cerazette but since having my DS my periods were like yours and never seemed to stop! I opted for the copper coil see how my body reacted being hormone free for once and I love it! With the Mirena there's a high chance it will stop your periods altogether, or at least make them a lot lighter, however it does contain hormones which I was trying to steer clear of, hence going with the copper. I now have regular periods which last a week, with one heavy day but the rest are normal.
