Copper IUD

Hello Smile hoping someone else will share their experience. Had the copper iud inserted in July last year. The first 3/4 months I had a bit of kid cycle spotting. Now it has settled down however I'm still getting spotting 3/4 days before my period... a solid 5 day period and then spotting 3/4 days after. I know it can cause heavier bleeding but I seem to just have longer? Can anyone relate? Thanks

Yep I had similar when I had the copper coil, but heavier too. I gave it a good few months (8 I think) but it never settled so had it out. I’m probably going to try the mirena now and hopefully they’ll stop all together! 😅
