Home alone during abortion

Hi, this is my first post. Quick back story - I have a 2 year old at home my boyfriend works away mon-fri home on weekends my family aren’t “against” abortions as such but don’t really understand some women’s choice to have a termination. My boyfriend is DESPERATE for more children but I’m not ready just yet.

Anyway, I found out I was pregnant and I rang the drs and got referred to women’s health who booked me in hospital to take the first tablet. Which is 6/2/21. I’m not ready to have more children just yet so I havent told my boyfriend as he’d be devastated that I want to get rid. I’ve only told 2 of my close friends. I’m worried about the timing for taking the second tablet. I’m gonna be home alone with a 2 year old when I take the second pill. I’m not sure if I’d be best of taking it during the day should anything go wrong I can call for help as it’s daytime. But if I’m managing fine with the pain I’ll have a toddler to run round after. Or should I take it later in the evening when it’s his bedtime so that I can chill out in bed myself with no distractions. But this worries me because if something goes wrong and I need help it’ll be later in the night/potentially early morning. I’m just looking for some advise really 😕

I'm sorry I don't know enough about this method of termination to be able to say anything helpful but I didn't want to read and run.

I'm sorry you have to go through this alone Flowers

I hope someone more helpful comes along soon.

How many weeks are you?

I have experience of the medical abortion.

I would recommend you wait until your toddler is in bed settled Daffodil

I completely understand why you have made your choice.

It's a good idea to take the pill in the morning. Be prepared for fairly bad period pain within about an hour.,Curling up with a hot water bottle helps if you can. Warm drinks and something to distract both of you.
If you are given antibiotics to take afterwards, check they are something you have had before and won't give you an adverse reaction.
Expect to feel achey and a bit hormonal for a few hours so do whatever will keep your little one absorbed. You should be fine to potter but probably not up to playing on the swings. x

@zymummy I think I’ll be 6 weeks 4 days when it comes to taking the second dose

Thank you all for your support. My LO is very understanding and empathetic, previous times I’ve ever been poorly he is quite content just entertaining himself and popping over every now and then to give me a cuddle 🥰 I’m sure he’ll be fine to keep himself busy for a few hours. I’ve been thinking the extreme that I wouldn’t be able to cook his dinner or take him to the toilet 🙈 fear of the unknown I suppose. Because I’ve never been through this before I don’t know how I’ll be especially since everyone reacts differently
