Period after Mirena IUD removal

I had my Mirena IUD removed in early December, this was in place for nearly 5 years and I had no periods whatsoever during this time.

I had a normal (for me) period on 11 December lasting 5 days. My usual cycle pre Mirena was 28/29 days.

My period this month seems to not be happening - could this be due to my body getting back on track with its normal cycle or is this something that happens after IUD removal?

To be clear, we are not TTC and I did a pregnancy test on the day after my period was due which was negative so I don't think I need to POAS.

your cycles can be all over the place for the first six months or so. Mine kept getting longer between cycles but 5 months on seem to be settling to every four weeks but its taken a while.

I did take this up with my fertility clinic (we are using IVF due to Male Factor Issues) and they said its quite normal for a while.

I've also found my moods are far less stable than they were. But that may be just current circumstances

Ahh thank you! That helps to know, if it's time limited I can cope with that...I hate surprise periods!
