metronidazole & the pill

Does anyone have any experiences with it? I suspect I have BV but don’t want any accidental oopsies after antibiotics if my gp gives me them.

They will advise you, not sure about the pill but alcohol is a big no no on metronidazole!

Use condoms as well while on it.

Current guidelines are that it's fine unless you have an upset stomach, but I would always use condoms while taking and for 7 days after, plus skipping the 7 day pill break if it runs over that. Not supposed to give that advice to my patients but it's what I always do myself (pharmacist)
