Hello all you lovely ladies of Mumsnet! I was supposed to have a Mirena coil fitted today after many, many years on the combined pill but they had a lot of trouble fitting it. I have been fitted with a Kyleena instead but I can't really find much information around from people who have actually had one, does anyone have any stories good or bad? Are you happy with it?

Same thing happened to me. For me it has been excellent. I had one period after having it fitted and then nothing at all.

Thanks for this I really couldn't find any information about it other than medical articles. Did you have any problems with acne?

I didn’t no. I’ve had no side effects apart from the blissful lack of periods! I did look into it after I had it fitted and apart from medical journals and it being mentioned on a couple of US based message boards, I couldn’t find much about it.
