When did you know you were ready to have your second child?

I don't think you do, I'm pregnant with my second and still don't know, I'm terrified!

When my first one started sleeping better (he was around 12 months).

We waited until:

A) we both openly stated we want to

B) our first born had settled into a bit of a sleep routine and had generally become a bit easier all round

C) finances were reasonably good

All throughout the pregnancy i worried about my first born and the impact on him. Totally normal but the guilt ate away at me. Turns out he loves having a sister so try not to feel guilty about that.
