Merina coil

Hello! Just wondering if anyone has had the Merina coil fitted privately and could give me a rough idea of price?

Only place locally seems to be Nuffield and I’ve asked but am still waiting for a reply.

Hi, realise you may have had a response from Nuffield since your message but in case you hadn’t I got a quote for £550 to have a Mirena coil fitted which I thought was extortionate 😳 I’m desperate to have one fitted but my GP have still not recommenced these treatments due to Covid. Not sure where to go from here!

The actual coil costs about £100

Then there's the appointment cost on top of that (can vary considerably)

Thanks guys! I’m pretty desperate....I’ve been on the NHS waiting list since I had my 3rd and final 😂 Then covid cancelled the appointment I had. Nuffield still haven’t responded so that’s so good to know. I was thinking if it was under £200 I’d be tempted but £500 is just extortion! Xx

Have you tried your local family planning or GUM clinics? All up and running again here...

GUM clinics are up and running here. Maybe you can call for an appointment and get it for free?
