Due to my poor planning and no need yo get it replaced I still have My implant in my arm and it was due out in November. I have found I have a really spotty chin which I have been told is hormonal? Has anyone had side effects from the implant after it's due date, I am hoping to get it removed when COVID restrictions are up !

Mine was due out in April - since February or so I've been bleeding properly every two weeks, with lots spotting in between. I've also had a run of migraines (I usually get one or two a year but have been having 2-3 a month). My skin has also got worse on my chin, but to be honest I'm not sure if that's because of the implant or some other change in my routine since lockdown.

I also want my implant out so I can start TTC - I called the GP and mentioned I was struggling with the side effects and also that I was done with the thing anyway and have an appointment to get it out (this morning, as it happens!) It may be worth having the conversation to see if they can help. The other thing they suggested was 'topping up' with a mini-pill which may have helped aleviate some of my symptoms - this might be an option for you?
