Could I be pregnant- when to take test?

I've been tracking my period on an app for a year - and they're very regular- always have been but now I can see it visibly how regular they are.

So anyway, I took what I thought was a calculated risk to have unprotected sex on the day my period was due- but hadn't started yet. I thought it would be as safe as could be.

But that was 5 days ago, and my period still hasn't arrived.

I'm 40 and haven't been this late in the year I've been tracking. Although I guess that my age could start to make my cycles irregular?

Also I'm not sure when I'd do a test as you're supposed to do it on the day your period would be due- but that would be the day I had the sex.

Surely it's really unlikely I'm pregnant right?

Having unprotected sex could mean you're pregnant. I didn't get a positive test until 3 weeks after 'd' day.
But your periods could change, also stress can mess with your periods.

You could test and if negative try agin in a week

Ok thanks will test at weekend if still no period. It's so weird though- although I know it's a risk I would have never taken when I was younger.

I was thinking of trying the natural cycles app for contraception as I really like the thought of that.

My partner had been planning to get a vasectomy before lockdown. So I guess we'll see where we are after this

Ah took test yesterday and it was negative, but still no period. Will take on Weds which will be 15 days from dtd and then again next weekend if necessary.

I'm not feeling any symptoms of anything- but it doesn't feel like my period is on its way soon by any means
