Does anyone take the lucette pill - I’ve been on it for about 6 months and not getting on with feel very low, skin is awful and bleeding between periods. Anyone else take this and have any issues - nurse as advised me to maybe come off it as I’m 44 so older and suggested the coil . So my next question any thoughts on the coil people find it ok?
Many thanks. X

I have the copper coil and getting on great. Currently about six months in. Had an implant for two years and it was horrific - long and frequent irreqular periods, mood swings, zero interest in sex and constant thrush. Doctor said that was unrelated but never had the problem before, nor since having it removed. Opted for copper coil because I was apprehensive about more hormones. First period a bit heavier and more painful than normal but otherwise, no side effects. Period is regular as clockwork, lasts about 5/6 days, no uncomfortable side effects but then, other than when I had the implant, I never suffered from anything like that anyway. I know periods can be avoided completely with a hormone coil but for me it's worth having a period - I feel much better for no hormones, like myself again!
