Coil/injection/pill? Tell me your experiences

I'm fed up of the pain that my time of the month causes. I had a lovely 9 months without a period but now it's back with a vengeance and quite frankly I'd rather give birth again than stand this! Sad

Years ago I was microgynon and it helped massively reduce the pain but then caused migraines with aura so I'm not allowed it or any variety of the drugs in it.

That limits it to the Progesterone only type pills, the injection, and the coil. Trying to decide which one to try. I've heard some people say these options can reduce your monthly flow or even help you skip it!

Would love to know your experiences on these - pros and cons!

Thanks Smile

I've got the copper coil and love it. Had a two year nightmare with the implant so decided to get it out. Periods don't go away with the copper coil but now completely regular which is a big change from the implant days. First month aside, periods aren't any heavier and don't have any pain or cramping with them - coil has completely regulated and balanced my flow from the previously unpredictable and tortuous implant experience. Main plus though is that I feel like myself again without hormones. Didn't realise how much hormones were affecting me until I have them up.
