Mirena coil and headaches!

Hi everyone,
New here this evening. I had a mirena could fitted about two months ago. I have had a nasty lingering headache for about two weeks now. Go to sleep with it, wake up with it...I'm drinking loads of water. Have booked and eye test. I'm wondering if it could be linked to the coil? Any experience of this for anyone? I will book to see GP if it continues but I'm beginning to feel worried....
I know I'm very sensitive hormonally so I kind of hope it is this. In which case my next question is does it settle down? Or do I need to be thinking about getting it removed?

Any thoughts of experience would be really appreciated.
I've also had long periods which seems to go on and on too....hmmm

Nothing helpful to say but I have exactly the same - mirena fitted six weeks ago and I've had a continual headache for the last week. Also continual bleeding, although it's not heavy and I can put up with that for a while, but the headache is making me want to have the mirena removed now.

I am 47, I've had the Mirena coil for about year and half now, everything has been fine until recently. I've started getting clouds in one eye followed by a headache. I've had my eyes tested and they say nothing wrong. My next step is to see the doctor and check if they are related. I used to get a lot of migraines while on the mini pill which led to a weird episode while driving, my head felt like it was shaking inside and I couldn't focus so I came off all contraceptives until getting the coil. I hope I don't have to have it removed as getting it fitted was quite painful for me. Any other help will be welcome

Hi everyone,
I've had the marina coil fitted in December. I'm still on and off bleeding and now suffering from really painful headaches that seem to get worse I drink enough and take paracetamol for it but still painful. I am just wondering has anyone experienced this?
