Bleeding after implant

I've recently had my implant out due to constant bleeding but it's almost 2 weeks on and I'm still bleeding. Has anyone else had this problem? If so how long did it take to settle or what did you do? Thanks :)

It's completely luck of the draw - I have no issues with it and I'm on my 5th. A friend has bled for over a year and has finally conceded.

I was just about to post the same message. I had my implant in on 6 January after having my baby and after I stopped post-birth bleeding I had a week of nothing and have now been bleeding for nearly a fortnight which I'm blaming on the implant. Does it ever stop?!

Read first message properly! Didn't notice that the bleeding started after the implant was taken out. Sorry for confusion!

Hi eastview

I have been on the implant years ago twice at different times - both times I bled constantly for 6+ months - plus nasty mood swings, really really not worth it in my opinion. I'm going to visit the drop in clinic next week to get some answers about other forms of contraception so if I learn anything new I can drop you a message!

Thanks guys ! I have a drs appointment this week as I was really worried about it but the bleeding stopped a few days ago and I've been OPK testing and just had a positive yay! Bleeding was definitely linked to the implant then! Stupid thing !
