I had the crappy thing changed at the end of November. I’ve had about 3wks off in that time. Even with the pill on the top of it.

I want it out. I’ve had enough of it. Am I being unreasonable if I go to the doctors & tell them I want it out with it being fairly new? It’s my third one & never had one this crap so early on

I stuck it out the best part of two years. Kept thinking I'll hold off and it might improve. Troubles went from constant bleeding to unpredictable bleeding to constant thrush, low moods, reduced libido and it never stopped itching in my arm either! Doctor gave me the pill to try and regulate but without success. Great contraception but mostly because it had so many rubbish side effects that sex was rarely ever an option and when it was, I didn't feel like it.

Got it out in November and went for the copper coil. Felt more like myself within a couple of days, I'd forgotten what it was like. No thrush since (although doctor always disputed the connection to nexplanon), no itchy arm and periods are better as well. First was heavier than I was ever used to but not unexpected. Next one came right on time and no heavier or longer than I ever was pre-nexplanon. Still early days but feeling hopeful.

I've read loads of positive reviews for nexplanon but it wasn't for me. Just wish I'd given in and had it removed after it didn't settle in the first few months.
