Hi all, new to mumsnet as I’m looking for answers and can’t find anything online!
I have had the Mirena coil in for almost 5 years and it’s been great, up until about 6 months ago. First I started feeling full...in there...and pain during sex, I went doctors had a scan and they found nothing wrong but said it could just be a ‘wobble’. Then came the spots on my chin. When I say spots they were more like boils deep below, mega painful. They would stay for a week or 2 then vanish and this happened every couple of weeks. Bare in mind the fullness feeling disappeared when the spots arrived. Now I have insanely sore boobs, the last time they were this sensitive was when I was pregnant, iv done a test and It’s negative thankfully (getting married in august lol). I just wonder, has anyone else suffered a ‘wobble’ as the doctors put it? Can I expect anything else lol?

Isn't it supposed to get replaced after 5 years anyway?

Hi
I think you may need a replacement. I have mine in for 5 years each time which is how long it was licensed for in this country when I used to work for Schering. There should be enough progesterone for 7 years tho if I remember correctly.
Maybe get a new one and see if it helps.
