Pregnancy test before a contraceptive injection

My daughter is having the contraceptive injection tomorrow at her dr’s and they have asked to bring a pregnancy test to show she’s not pregnant.

Why don’t they do this at the appointment? Or provide her with a kit? And where’s the best place to buy a cheap one or can you pick them up for free?

Thank you

Most supermarkets sell ones that are under £4.

They're not provided because the NHS is underfunded and has to prioritise spending.

Im sure you can pick them up in B&M/ Home bargains... maybe even Poundland ?
