Female sterilisation/laparoscopy - scarring advice

Hi all,

I'm on the waiting list for female sterilisation - laparoscopy, fallopian tube removal.

I've read there will be 2 incisions, one in the belly button area and another lower down which is 1cm in length, someone has compared the scar to being smaller than the size of their little fingernail.

I am concerned about scarring and wondered if anyone who has had either laparoscopic female sterlisation or a similar laparoscopic procedure: what was the length of the scar, how thin was it? What colour did it fade to, was it a thin, pale, white line? How long did it take to heal? Was it red at first?

Also any other general info on your experience would be great.

Thank you :)
