I had the coil about a year ago, had it removed because it had moved.
Went back to have it fitted the other day and they couldn't get it in so I've been referred to have it done at the hospital where its not guanteed to be done either.
I had a smear test, followed by an op and apperntly this is the cause of the problem.
In the mean time I'm on the patch. It's early days so I'm not sure if it's going to me for me or not but so far so good. I've just received my appointment for my coil and now I'm in 2 minds what to do.. Stick with the patch or try the coil again. I wanted something hormones free but I don't want to go through the pain of having a coil for me to walk out without it again..
Anybody else been in this situation with a coil? Any positive experiences with the patch? I've just come off the injection after putting a ton of weight on. So weight gain is always at the back of my mind with contraception..
