Over 40's contraception

Following the demise of my marriage I find myself needing contraception because whilst I strongly suspect I'm too old to conceive i still have light periods. (H had a vasectomy so never needed to worry). Really can't be bothered with condoms as we are both fine std wise. Any suggestions? I have the nurse tomorrow

Under 50, in the absence of risk factors like overweight, high blood pressure, smoker, etc you could have combined contraceptives. If any apply you could have mini pill, coil (iud or ius), injection, implant, etc
