Copper coil wait

8-9 weeks wait to have a copper coil fitted where I am, at a clinic specifically running for family planning and sexual health. Yet it only runs mon-fri 9-1130. The NHS is so underfunded it's unreal. Not the clinics fault so I accepted the appointment. I just wonder how many women would risk unprotected sex within that wait time and fall pregnant, meaning more time and money needed from the NHS for their antenatal care or termination, std's etc.

They surely offer it sooner if it's for emergency contraception though? Maybe at an urgent care or walk-in?
