Nexplanon contraceptive implant

Hi, I'm on my fourth year with no issue, hardly any periods and I I have it's been very little and only lasts a day or two, yesterday I started and I'm really heavy I mean I've never seen so much!!! Does anyone know if this is normal please?

Just to make it clear I'm on my second implant and had it about a year

I'm on my 2nd, the 1st one I never had a drop of blood. This 2nd one I have heavy periods or a spot of blood, there isn't a inbetween. I don't think I'm going to get a 3rd one put in when my 2nd expires.

Oh ok I see, was you heavy from the start of the new 2nd one or did it take time?

Tbh I can't remember, my bleeding is really random. There isn't a set routine to it which is why I'm not going to get another one, it was great the 1st time but I'd rather take the pill everyday knowing when my periods will start.

Apparently the norm is to have no period. Which never ever happened to me and I have had it in bar 2 pregnancies for years.
Is there any clots?

It looks like really small clots in the loo but only one, and some parts are brown too which isn't the norm for me
