Mirena coil causing pain daily

Hey guys,

I got the mirena coil in early july. It was a very painful experience and since then I have experienced extremely painful cramps every other day. The pain will last for a few minutes at a time but it interrupts anything I'm doing. I was also on my period for 6 weeks when I got it and was put on Norethisterone to stop them. This still didnt stop the pain.

I had the mirena coil for 3 years the first time round and had it removed earlier this year. I dont ever remember it causing me this much pain or discomfort.

My question is is this normal? Should I have it taken out or just push through the pain until I reach the 6 month mark?

Did you get it checked out? When I had my first coil I was getting terrible cramps during the night. It was actually embedded into my womb and had to be removed.
I do know the copper coil and cause heavy painful periods but the pain shouldn't be constant I don't think.
