Depo injection question

Sorry might be TMI but I’ll try and word it as best as I can.

On the day of my second period after giving birth, I got the depo injection. That was April 2014 I got it.

Decided to come off it as it was making me really bloated. It was due April this year. So 5 years on it.

I still haven’t bled in the past 6 months. I have had on off period pains since April, but no blood.

Yesterday my boobs were so painful. Without a bra to protect them I was nearly in tears as they were in so much pain, felt like they were bruised. The nipples look sore and the bit around the nipples looks slightly darker. Sorry TMI but this morning I went for a wee and I wiped I felt a lot of discharge and thought oh I’ve started my period but when I looked it was clear. There was a lot. Almost like I was wet from sex but I wasn’t.

I’m not pregnant, I haven’t had sex since before my depo was due in April as I left my boyfriend start of the year.

I’m slightly regretting coming off it but at the same time I was bloated. My skin on my face is awful at the moment too.

It’s not really a question just advice. I feel crap 😞😞😞

I got the depo as I had just come out of a DV relationship with my DD’s father and having a period would make me feel worse.

Anybody?

It sounds like a hormonal thing to me ? First thing was going to say was pregnancy but clearly not x

I’ve called my doctor and she wants to give me a tablet to force a period, she’s worried because the lining of my womb or something will be thin from no period when there’s been no form of contraception in me, if that makes sense? I couldn’t quite understand it fully but I’m anxious about the force of a period.

I am in sort of a similar situation. I just came mine (syanna press) in June. I was in it for 1 year. I destroyed my sex drive, gave me ance at 36years of age, tricked my body into thinking I have thyroid problems (even my doctor was convinced, almost thinking I had cancer).
I haven't had a period since January of this year. My boobs are very heavy and I've gained weight, hungry all the time and my acne is getting worse.
I am sure you are experiencing some hormonal imbalance issues. It's the first time I heard that not having period can thin the lining of your womb.
Maybe request a blood test.

When I stopped the depo it took 13 months for my period to come back. I also had excruciating breast pain regularly throughout that time. It got to the point where I wore a sports bra to bed so that I could get some relief as every movement hurt... sleeping on my front was a total no go! Another 12 months on and I'm completely normal with regular cycles and no mega symptoms. Unfortunately, I think it is normal for the depo. I would never use it again after knowing how long it would take my body to go back to "normal". Hope you're back to normal soon!

@Darell04 thank you for commenting on your experience, still no sign of a period and my boobs are so painful still... like you any movement is agony... my DD went for a cuddle earlier and lent right on it, God that was painful. Being braless, putting on a bra but once it’s on it’s fine, although if I knock my boobs with a bra on it’s slightly painful. Still having a lot of discharge. Very odd this but noticed my sex drive is a lot higher too. I don’t have a boyfriend but I know if I did they would be satisfied every night (yet when I was on the injection my sex drive was low) And I’ve been crying a lot more too (doesn’t help my mum has cancer for third time and I’ve just been feeling ever so lonely recently with no boyfriend, DD really playing up, and hardly any friends meet up). Cannot deal with emotions, it’s too over whelming, so I will vent to my counsellor tomorrow.

But my mood is awful, just wanna punch a wall. I think I’d rather be bloated than have this mood swing 😩
