I think i need to go back don't i? Had it fitted in Feb and minimal periods for first couple months but i have a bleed of some description everyday. Anyone else had this but settled eventually?

Ive got one but never had a problem. No periods at all now. See your GP. Might be totally unrelated to the Mirena

Hi
I had similar, I had a coil fitted in January and bleed for 70% of the time that it was in - six months....and then when they removed it they discovered it was only just inside the cervix so the hormone being released wasn't controlling the bleeding properly. They said the hormone was primarily going into the cervix rather than the uterus.

Definitely go and get checked to see the positioning is ok!

This happened to me with the first one I had. I saw gynaecologist then got admitted for endometrial ablation. Never bled again even when they were replaced.

I'm on my third or fourth coil. I started getting lots of spotting/bleeding. The coil had slipped and that was the issue. Had it replaced but it was a fucking disaster (agony) again too low, bleeding lots. Had it replaced by hysteroscopy and it did take about six months to settle. Defo ask for ultrasound to check as i was warned that it may not be providing sufficient contraception.
