Mirena coil for 18 months

Hi, I have a 5 month-old DD and need to get on some contraception again. I have previously been on the implant and had the injection and neither of them agreed with me at all! I also really don't want to take the pill as I know I will forget to take it some days as I am a nightmare for remembering to take medication and I just don't trust it!
I think the mirena coil would be the best option but I know they are meant and to last for 5 years and we already know we want to start trying to conceive another baby when my DD is 2 years old.
So my question is, is it ok to get the coil and then have it removed 18 months later or will that cause complications? Has anyone else done this?

Also any experiences of the coil would be good to hear. The implant and the injection made me really hormonal in the past to the point it was starting to effect my mental health so really don't want to put my body through that again.
Thanks.
