Mirena vs mini pill

Anyone tried both please? I had my second mirena for over a year before having it removed about a week ago. I am now taking the mini pill.

Since its removal my mood has really lifted, my brain fog and just a feeling of being overwhelmed has really changed. I never realised I felt like this with my coil. It has lower levels of hormone so will the mini pill make me feel the same once it kick in?

Anyone had experience of both please?

The mini pill essentially contains the same hormone as the Mirena, but because of the different modes of delivery the mini pill tends to result in much higher systemic levels of progestogen. Of course all the theory in the world will not tell you reliably how you will feel on a given contraceptive. Although do be aware that risk of pregnancy on the mini pill is much higher than with the Mirena.
