Abortion - Help

I realise that this is going to be a touchy subject and will receive angry replies.
I've spent days searching the internet but cannot find an answer to my question so I'm turning here for help (not criticism)
I am 6 weeks pregnant and have made the decision to have an early medical abortion for reasons which I do not wish to share as are incredibly upsetting to me.
My question is how to book an abortion? I've read that you can go straight to a clinic however there does not seem to be one local to me, Is it possible to get the abortion pills from a sexual health clinic? If possible I do not want to go to my GP.
If I do have to go to my GP what are the next steps?...
My next question, I've only read on buisness pages (nhs/private clinics) which are lacking in detail, how long will it take? I mean from entering the clinic or where ever to leaving, I have a small child and no one to watch her so will have to take her with me as awful as that is.
I have also read that there is two appointments, one is a consolation then they'll call you back in a week to take the pills, is that correct? Or can you do both on the same day? (Again thinking of DD)
TIA

Hi hun, good luck and hope you are happy with your decision! You will need to either go to your gp or call them and just explain you don't need seeing by your go just need the referral (they may be able to do this from just chatting on the phone to you if you are 100% sure) and then you will go to the clinic/in my case hospital for a consultation where they will discuss your reasons and if you are happy with this decision - then which route a) medical b) surgical. Then you'll be booked in for your initial appointment (if medical) for your first tablet, once you've had that you will go back a few days later for the final tablets. I had my first ones on the Friday and my last on the Monday... all in all from start to finish you're looking at 7-10 days depending on your local facilities etc! If you need to chat you're welcome to message me as I have been in this position also x

Phone Marie Stopes or BPAS, they will be able to help and either book you or point you in the direction of who will hwlp you.
In a few areas you will need to go through GP but mostly can self refer.
