My GF has started the depo injection a month ago after struggling with the pill, always got bad period pains (for a day when it started) and PMT it would seem that any hormone contraception hits her hard, since injection she’s snappy and distant but is unable too see it, always tired (this last week) and libido is non existent, she’s 19 and says it’s working for her as she’s not having periods and can wear what she wants any time of the month, her lack of sex drive is “my issue” and I always end up having to tread on egg shells and feel rejected/hurt, she has said it will even out as her body gets used to it, everything I’ve read seems things get worse (as they have been) not better.
