Changing from coil to implant?

As the title says – has anyone done this?

Years ago I was advised to have a IUD fitted rather than an implant as the implant used the same hormone as a pill which did not suit me at all. I have an IUD again now (mirena) but I know that the brand of implant has changed and is now a different hormone. I don’t want a third baby right now so the coil is very useful for that but I also suffer from migraines and get clusters of them twice a month, around the time of my ‘period’ and in the middle of the month when I ovulate. This has always happened as the oestrogen triggers my migraines – I suffer from them a lot during pregnancy! The coil does not always stop me ovulating (have pains, egg white mucus and bloating – google confirmed that was a real thing!) and I’m wondering if the implant will. But apart from bloating, the coil suits me quite well but the migraines get in the way of life, especially as I have a two or three over a week or so twice a month. So I’m a bit stuck really. Has anyone gone from a coil to the implant and been fine with both?
