Copper coil

Had my copper coil removed September (2018). Bcs I couldn't handle the period pain I got every month (before the coil I never had period pains and very light period) and I didn't feel happy with it..
Now I still get cramps /pain in my lower tummy and back pain..
Anyone else had/have the same problem?

Oh no, I’m due to have the copper coil fitted on Wednesday, my last resort (I’m 33, having no more kids, don’t do well with hormonal contraception) heard that periods get heavier but I’m not looking forward to it, I always had light non painful periods.

Shame no one else has commented on this, i was hoping to hear some positive stories now that I’ve had it fitted.

Most people find the heavier periods settle down within 6 months and at 6 months the pattern you have will be the one that will remain for the duration. Some people manage and some don't and with everyone being different and no experience the same unfortunately you have to just try it to see how it works for you

And to answer OP question you should return to normal over time. If you don't settle back you should go and be checked on a' just incase' basis for any new underlying issues.
