Help with copper coil

Hi I'm new here so here goes..... I have had the copper coil fitted a month ago and I also take norethisterone to stop my periods as they are horrendous. I have had nothing but this horrible brown discharge and sorry tmi bleeding with mucus. I beginning to think I've seriously made a massive mistake and really thinking about having it out. The only thing is all other hormonal contraceptives do not agree with me due to migraines on the combined pill and horrible mindset on the mini pill. What the hell do I do !!! thanks for reading any help would be amazing

I had the copper coil fitted the beginning of this year and for me it’s settled down nicely. I had a bit of discharge but it didn’t last anywhere near as long as a month. The first month I had some spotting and a long period that lasted about 7 days. I’m now three cycles in and my period seems quite normal. The last one was four days with some spotting in the run up. I guess everyone is different but it may take a while to find out what it’s going to be like for you long term. It does sound like you’re quite fed up unsurprisingly! Have you spoken to your doctor?
