Mini pill Desogesterel -what are your experiences?

I like to know your experiences on the mini pill. I started it on tuesday then yesterday I felt very low and couldn't stop crying after rough day at work! This is so unlike me! Anyone else have this as a side effect? Does it stop or should I swap my pill. I'm trying to regulate my period; not having sex, so it's ok to stop.
Thank you

Is it actual cerazette or a generic brand?

Fallulah · 03/03/2019 16:48

Generic desogesterel does that to me too, plus headaches. I have to have the brand named Cerazette and have had no issues with this for ten years now. Every now and again a new doctor prescribes the generic one and I have to get it changed back. They insist there’s no difference but clearly there is. Maybe it’s all in my head but I’m still sticking with Cerazette!

I had lots of side effects with the cheaper generic version as well. No problems with cerazette. I am guessing you will be on the generic version as this seems to be the default now as it is cheaper. Could be worth asking to try cerazette.

Thank you. That's really helpful. Will definitely speak to practise nurse again. X
