Vasectomy

Hello I wounded if anyone has felt the same way. My husband had a vasectomy 8 months ago. He has had a letter confirming he is all clear and that the procedure has worked. However I am absolutely petrified that I will get pregnant. So much so we haven’t had sex since he had it done. Although he hasn’t said anything to me about it I know it’s affecting us as we are no longer close. What can I do to get it out of my head?

What contraception were you using prior to the vasectomy? Could you use it again so you feel confident enough to have sex again?

I haven't used any contraception since 2011. We struggled to conceive for 5 years. We had 1 child and then fell pregnant very soon after with our second.
We both thought having a vasectomy would mean no more condoms and that I wouldn't have to go on the pill. However for some reason I can't stop worrying it won't won't.
