Contraception Dilemma

Hi all, newbie to mumsnet here.
I need some help with contraception. I'm currently on implant no 3 at age 27. It is due to run out this month. I've not really had any issues with it and it's actually helped with ovarian cysts.
But I don't want another one after this. I want to try for a baby end of 2019/start of 2020, so I just don't see the point.
My questions are...what temporary contraceptive should I use? I can't use the pill as it gave me horrendous migraines.
Also how long before I want to conceive should I stop any contraceptive?
Help a confused woman out!!
TIA Smile

You can still have the mini pill. I was told to wait six months after coming off of anything hormonal, to allow your womb lining to build back up and allow any pregnancy to implant properly and reduce the chance of it coming away (miscarriage). Good luck!
