Best mini pill for bleeding

Hi
On desogestrel for 6 months and bleed all the time... is there a better mini pill that doesn't do this? Reluctant to go back to combined and have tried coils and hated both types!

Are you on actual cerazette or own brand desogesteral?

dementedpixie · 29/12/2018 18:57

Cerazette stopped my periods (its also desogestrel)

WhatILoved · 29/12/2018 19:19

Own brand but I thought they were the same?

Ingredients are listed as the same but there are countless threads and info on line stating that the generic versions cause much more side effects than proper cerazette. It's quite a battle to get a GP go prescribe it as they'll go for the cheaper alternative but you can buy it directly from Superdrug or Lloyd's Pharmacy.

That are supposed to be but anecdotes suggest some are ok with cerazette but get other effects with generic.

dementedpixie · 29/12/2018 19:33

They not that

WhatILoved · 29/12/2018 19:51

How strange can there be different qualities of desogestrel then? As the mg is exactly the same! Anyone tried Norgeston?

Something to do with with the extra added fillers/ ingredients maybe

I tried 2 other mini pills but they gave me periods every 2 weeks whereas cerazette stopped them. Everyone is different I suppose
