How likely is it I need the morning after pill?

No judgment please.

I had unprotected sex this afternoon, and while DP usually pulls out past day 7 or before day 23, he didn't this time (I am on day 8) . We have used this method for years and never had any scares. I track my cycles and we use a combination of the rhythm and pull out method. I know people will say this is unsafe but it has always worked for us - neither of us are 100% sure about our fertility though. I have endo and he has a health condiition that could possible affect his sperm.

My cycles are usually between 25 - 29 days. I can also feel when I ovulate, which is usually between days 13-16. know sperm supposedly lives for around a week, but I wonder if that is the norm or the exception for very strong/healthy sperm.

My question is - do I need the morning after pill, or is it unlikely anything will happen? I know no one will know for sure, but if anyone else practices the same method and can advise, that would be most welcome.

Unless you don't really mind getting pregnant, I would get it.

No one can tell you for sure, as you know.

Depends how devastated you would be to become pregnant.

Do you want to risk getting pregnant or not?

If the answer is no, take the morning after pill.

If you don’t want to take even a tiny risk I’d just go and get it tbh.

Exactly as PP's have said, if you wouldn't mind ending up pregnant then don't get it, if you really don't want to be then do!
