I just don't feel myself. Feel angry and down a lot. I seem to have anxiety which I've never had before. Anyone else had this? I'm so close to having it removed. But it suits me in every other way

Hi, had my coil taken out 6 weeks ago, mirena, due to bloating, weight gain, cravings and anxiety, went for 6 weeks check up today following cooper coil insertion and doc could not believe change in me, she even noticed my weight loss lol! Its not for everyone and she says the hormones simply do not agree with everyone, good luck with your decision

@Galwaygirl thank you for replying. I think I'm going to try a few months without it in and then go for the copper coil. I was only put off by that one due to the risk of heavy bleeding

Never had anxiety before I had mine inserted, sorry I left in for 18 months! Sorry it took me that long to realise it was that. I too was angry, stressed and miserable, Doc said today it could take a while for hormones to leave the body but I definately feel do much better. Period on copper coil lasted 5 days and no complications in between!

@Galwaygirl oh wow. That sounds positive changing to that one! I'm going to do some more reading up on it
