Mirena coil

Hi there.
I've had the Mirena coil for about 2 weeks now. I had excruciating pain after insertion for a few days (labour like) and spotting on and off.
I've now had two days clear from spotting/discharge and cramps. until last night when I had sex with my husband. It was relatively normal however woke up to some blood and in a fair bit of tummy and lower back pain. As this is my first time having sex with the Mirena in, is this normal please?
I'm also a bit concerned about the embarrassing smelly brown discharge I get. Again is this normal? Does it last long? Etc
With the Mirena I have been told it can take months to settle down to reap the full benefits, which I'm prepared to do, it's just so frustrating going to the toilet and seeing blood or brown discharge what seems like constantly.
I have also had a migraine which I haven't had for years. Do people suffer these when they have the coil fitted?
I have it for control of heavy and constant bleeding so not necessary for contraception as my OH has had the snip.
Apologies for the gruesome details but I wonder if anyone can help shed some light on this sensitive subject. I get so embarrassed about the smell from the brown discharge (almost poo like ) is that anything you have found effective etc.
Thank you for reading. Look forward to your replies x
