I had the Mirena coil fitted 7 months ago, on the promise that it would cure my heavy periods and 'change my life' with regards to horrendous PMT/PMDD. I have tried various contraception and Fluoxetine with no joy.
My periods continued, albeit they have lessened. However, I am irregular so when the hormonal moods start, I do not know if I'm due on, which is even worse.
I'm not sure if I'm better or worse but I'm certainly still suffering. I've been back to Drs a couple of times and they kept telling me to wait it out.
I have greasy hair (never in my life have I had greasy hair) and a horrendously spotty chin/jawline (I am 38 years old).
I think I should get it removed. I just don't know what my next steps could be? Has anyone had endometrial ablation? It is ruining my life.
