Coil/ IUD

Hi guys, has anyone had any problems with the iud (coil) any weight gain etc...

I've had a copper coil 5yrs & had blamed weight gain on other factors, and hold my hands up to that, but anecdotal evidence would suggests it is responsible for my permanent bloat and some weight gain. I'm not taking that as the be all-end all but I wonder.

It's due out next month and I'm considering swapping to a diaphragm as I'm trying to lose weight & fed up of the monster periods so want to see if it will have an effect. Shame as it's been a dream otherwise and I don't want hormonal birth control again.
