Copper Coil

Hi, I've done a lot of research on different contraceptives and I think I've finally settled on the copper coil.

Before I make the call on Monday to make the appointment - can I ask of your personal experiences with the copper coil? I know it's supposed to make periods a bit heavier, anything else? Is it a REALLY effective form of contraception (not planning on another DC).

I have two DC, I have previously been on the mini pill and contraceptive implant (can't take oestrogen contraceptives). I found my mood quite low with both, and I hated the unpredictability of my periods. I haven't been on any contraception since DC2 was born, although we've been careful I want something more fool
proof.

I do currently have a couple of quite heavy days of my cycle, so I'm a bit nervous that they will become horrendous.

Any experiences shared would be greatly received :)

Hasn't made mine heavier but they were heavy anyway, but has made them a day or so longer
I'm on my second and will have my third fitted next year, no issues at all with it

Thank you :)
