Hi all I'm new to mums net 
I got the copper coil back in June and have had two periods since, both were heavy but on time but this period (my third) is two weeks late, I started spotting on Tuesday and all through the week it kept starting and stopping until Saturday when the gates of hell opened (scene from the shining springs to mind...) it's been waking me up in the night because I've soaked through my nighttime pad and it's stayed super heavy so far.. no sign of it dying down either.
The cramps with this period have been horrendous, they started on Thursday and had me keeled over it was awful, and (sorry if tmi) I've been passing loads of clots, I'm so dizzy and tired now so I'm debating wether or not to keep the coil and stick with it? Or look at other options... what's everyone else's experiences with the copper coil? I really don't want to go down the hormonal route either as I have a tendency to get really fat on those lol, any input would be really appreciated
