Going crazy-missed miscarriage? Chemical pregnancy? Please help :(

Hi ladies,

I took a positive pregnancy test 4 days ago, got a few pregnancy symptoms, feeling slightly nauseous, tired and slight boob ache, but I woke up yesterday and had ever so slight browny/pink discharge (had to really look to see it wasn't white) and a negative pregnancy test.
I called my local early pregnancy unit, and they said that a negative pregnancy test means I've misscarried/ not pregnant anymore.... I was so distressed I made a doctors appointment... she could see how upset I was so sent me to the local
Hospital to have a hcg test, I will get the results on Wednesday earliest! And have to go back again on Thursday to see if they rise or fall.

I'm not bleeding or anything, have had no cramps all day (only slightly now at 4am) I am so so upset, I cannot sleep or get on with normal life, I'm going out of my mind with worry, I have taken more tests and they're all negative... have I misscarried? Why am I not bleeding yet?

Could it have been a faulty test?

I had the same happen to me around a year ago, I had two positive pregnancy tests from the same pack but each one i did after that, were all negative. I went to the doctors and they didn't really say much.. So it was either a faulty pack or a chemical pregnancy, i'd rather not know to be honest!

I still have pregnancy symptoms, tender breasts etc, I also felt pregnant. Still no bleeding.

I feel like it's a chemical pregnancy, I just hate this waiting :(

I feel like there could still be a chance that the at Home tests are wrong, but I've taken so many now it's probably quite unlikely

When did you start bleeding after the negative tests? I've read online people have waited weeks, I don't think I could wait that long without going insane

I didnt bleed at all, are you suppose to bleed with chemical pregnancies?

Also, how long after the positive test did you do another?

My doctor told me you bleed with a chemical pregnancy, it is just a very early miscarriage.

My period last period was July 16th, so I'm 6 days late

1.5 days after the positive test I did another which was negative, and 3 since then have all been negative too

Oh i didnt realise you bled with chemical pregnancy! I thought it was just that early that it only shows on a test once or twice then thats it, if that makes sense.

I would've thought if you were miscarrying you'd be bleeding already - have you done a test this morning?

Why won't you get results of HCG until Wednesday (presumably today)? HCG levels should be instant and then checked again within 48 hours. HCG levels should double every 48 hours if pregnant.
Your GP should have arranged an Early pregnancy scan for you depending on how many weeks you expected you were. I would ring and ask for this referral. Nothing can be seen on a scan before 5 weeks but it gets you into the system and being monitored. They will also get you back for a second scan 10-14 days later to see if any progress.

I thought I would get the results back quicker too... I've just called my doctors and the receptionist told me that they came back yesterday! But I have to wait for my doctor to call me with the results, I can't believe they're letting me hang on.

I have no idea why I'm not bleeding yet, if my hcg levels are so low the pregnancy can't go on, maybe a missed miscarriage?

I'm going to request my doctor sends me for a scan, because I talked to my friend who works in healthcare said it could possibly be ectopic.

It's all so confusing

I did another test this morning, a clear blue digital, which was negative, not a good sign

I got a call from my doctor and my hcg levels are at 10, so I just have to wait to bleed now
