Copper coil & sex?!

I have had the copper coil for a few weeks now but sex is a bit painful? It seems as though I can't have deep sex as it hurts inside but the doctor said the coil position is fine? Has anyone had this? Did it go away?

Yep, I’ve just had this with mine since having a baby, and I’ve been having spotting after sex also. Was fine with copper coil before birth.

I’ve had an appmnt with the doc yest and she said it wasn’t going to resolve itself. So I’m waiting a referral to get mine swapped for a hormonal one.

I've heard it's to do with the strings being too long.. ask your gp to trim them
