Contraception advice please

Need advice on contraception please.
Currently just using condoms but had a couple of near misses and had to take the MAP
I've been on the pill before (cerazette and microgynon) and found them to really affect my mood and sex drive.
I've been thinking about the implant or injection but worried about the hormones making me crazy! Would the coil be better?
Any advice welcome.

I had the implant at 18 and found it really affected my moods, in fact i remember the family planning nurse making it really clear that it was known to do this and if it was affecting me to see the GP. I think i had it removed early in the end. I had the Mirena for 3 years (removed so we could ttc). I found it great as it levelled my moods out and my periods stopped completely but it did decrease my sex drive too. I didn't realise how much until it was removed and i was insatiable! I'm looking at non-hormonal options atm as I'm sick of the side effects of the hormonal options

Thank you for taking the time to respond. I'm thinking the mirena might be the best option but I really don't want my sex drive affected. I've just rediscovered it with a new partner

I'm on day 14 of the mirena and no problems with sex so far!! Lol
