My husband and I are thinking about TTC in the next few months. He's not too fussed either way so I feel like its mainly down to me to instigate things! How do you know when you're ready!?

No advice really but just wanted to say I'm in the same boat! OH has agreed to try once we have both lost some weight (so I'm hoping in the next couple of months and have started taking folic acid just in case) but if quizzed is still of the mindset well we have one, why make life harder with two! It's quite a big responsibility knowing you are the one almost pushing it. I know he wouldn't do it if he didn't want to but there isn't quite the same enthusiasm as when we tried for our first!!

How old is your DC?

To try and answer your question when do you know your ready, in my mind I suppose I'm thinking if we want two eventually now would be a good time in terms of age gap and also my DD is becoming a bit easier in terms of no nappies/30 free hours/bedtimes etc and she always loves helping with our nieces and nephews. Plus I just get that feeling whenever I see a baby!!

I'm sorry I just re read your message and realised you didn't say this was for your second so that reply is completely irrelevant!! - would this be your first? X
