I’ve been in depo Provera on and off 6 years I’ve had no problems with it accept from rapid weight gain, I’ve tried my best to shift it but my body isn’t having it... anyways the weight isn’t my concern this time. I’ve been with a new partner for almost 7 months now the last depo shot I got back in late January time I told my nurse I was suffering with feeling fatigue and having a low Libido it was really effecting me mentally because I’ve never had this happen before.
My nurse replied back blaming it on my weight and called me big and told me to do something about changing my weight completly blocking out my other side effects.. very unproffessional I am 5ft 7 and weigh about 13/14 stone I am not too fussed about my weight.
Next depo Provera injection due I went earlier as I was travelling to Thailand for two weeks when it was due I went late March early April everything was fine got my shot until I rang in the doctors surgery to book in my depo for June as I counted my 12 weeks thinking it was due ! Wrong I was due for it in July and the receptionionist lady was very rude to me (thinking she knew it all and called me a lier for going in early) when I told her my count down was the begin off early June. I left the argument and took her word.
Now this week I am having bad symptoms of like the depo is coming out of my body like I’ve missed it.
I have bad migraine, blood clots, Brown blood now turned in to a pink colour, extreme pain constantly like my body is trying to get rid off something, I am confused and I am very emotional crying all the time random mood swings. Extreme pain In my stomach which moves down to my thighs, lower back pain and feeling shattered.
I have never had this happen before I went to my doctor not the nurse and she told me they haven’t even been keeping record of my depo Provera injection on the system and said they have to chase it up I’ve been given mefenamic acid but hasn’t helped reduced the blood flow but my stomach pain is still very painful cramps my mood hasn’t changed still feeling very dizzy and Migrane, generally my body feels shattered I can tell my body is confused on what it is doing it doesn’t know whether to have a period whether to be craving for another depo Provera shot.
Has anyone ever experienced this? Any advice what’s your story on depo Provera ? What do you Think is happening to my body .
